The Binnacle

The Binnacle is Student Life’s monthly e-newsletter, keeping student employees and staff connected to the people, programs and opportunities across Student Life. Each edition features reminders and updates, shoutouts, ways to get involved through campus and community service, job and scholarship-based opportunities, a community spotlight, a fun fact about the university or regional history, and a gallery of recent Student Life events.

A binnacle is the stand that holds a ship’s compass, helping keep the compass protected and in position for navigation. In the same way, The Binnacle helps keep our Student Life community informed, connected, and on course.

The Binnacle is published monthly. Content is generally due around the 15th of each month, with submission reminders beginning on the first of the month.
